Hey My name is Chris and in this crazy drag world I go by Millena Hidaway. All my friends call me Millena. I am 21 years young and am loving my life right now.
Not too sure how many of your drag queen experiences have gone but mine has gone pretty good. I always wanted to do drag for as long as I can remember and finally began about 2 years ago. I have gone through all the drama and the hate, but that’s just how it is when your competition to other queens.
In the 2 years that I have been dragging it, I’ve gone a very long way. I took tips from everywhere and began perfecting my makeup skills and my performance skills. That’s one thing that I recommend to all you new queens, take as many tips as you can get, cause once your at a certain point all that will stop. And the shadiness will begin. Haha
I’ve taken in all that I can take and im sure that I will keep on learning, cause I don’t want to stop.
I began doing drag at Oasis Drag Idol. Every girl in the socal drag scene has gone through this club. Mayhem, Detox, Venus D Lite, Raven, Morgan, Jazzmun, Momma, Jackie Beat, Che Che Echelon just to name a few. This is the place to start and get your name out there. That’s what I used Oasis for. To practice my performance skills and to get my name out there. I have successfully done that. Placing in the top 4 almost every show and making it to the covenant Oasis drag idol Finals 4 times in a row. Season 22, 23 24 and this seasons 25. Although I have been pulled out of finals for reasons that I will not discuss. I still made it into it and I am proud of myself for that.
After performing at Oasis for almost 2 years I was finally casted in one of the hottest shows in the IE and LA county area, Venus D-lites FLAWLESS. It’s a fierce drag show that I recommend every queen check out. Its @ VIP in Riverside every saturday and its hot. Trust.
I have also been casted in Livonia’s The Sassy show @ here lounge in west Hollywood. Its such a fun show with a diverse group of girls that will give you what you need every Monday! You must check it out.
I will also be Hosting at the Hottest new gay venue in the IE LA area the Brick in Pomona CA January 16, 2009. So make sure you guys come and check it out,
Right now I am working on getting gigs in palm springs to san Diego to Long Beach. So stay posted.
